Day Unit - Opening Doors
Our
Day Stay programme known as Opening Doors operates every Tuesday
and Wednesday at the Hospice from 10 am to 2 pm and patients may come every week or whenever they feel up to it.
Opening Doors is so named because it is open to all patients registered with the community palliative service and because its programme will be open to the ideas, needs and desires of its patients.
Opening Doors provides a programme of therapeutic and social activities to enhance quality of life by enabling people receiving hospices services, to enjoy the company of others and the support of the Opening Doors team.
Referral to or inquiry about the Opening Doors programme can be done through the Community Palliative Care Team, a GP or contact the hospice.
