Hospice Strawberry festival

Enjoy a taste of summer with the season’s first taste of strawberries whilst supporting your local hospice. On Wednesday 4 November Mercy Hospice Auckland will take over Queen Elizabeth Square at the bottom of Queen Street from 8am transforming it into something reminiscent of a village square.

Approximately three thousand punnets of strawberries have been ordered that will be able to be purchased in bowls topped with ice cream for just $5. Hospice volunteers will also be selling the collectible 'Strawberry Angel' Christmas decoration for $10.

Hospice Strawberry festivalCome along and support this great cause, Hospice care ensures that people who face a life limiting illnesses are cared for, (often in their own home) with the utmost professional skill, compassion and respect. Much needed funds enable them to provide their services at no cost to the patients and their families.
