Mercy Hospice Auckland is proud to offer its services free of charge to patients, their families and carers.

We rely heavily on the support, goodwill and generosity of the local community. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed to the hospice in however small or large a way. Thank you for your support.

There are many ways you can help us:

Mercy Hospice Auckland is a registered charity so all donations are tax deductible.

Donate in Memory of a loved one

If you are interested in donating to the hospice in memory of someone special you can either donate online or by mailing a donation to Mercy Hospice Auckland, PO Box 47 693, Ponsonby, Auckland 1144. Please remember to include the name of your loved one. All donations are tax deductible so please include your name and address details.

Contribute to the Cost of Care

While our services are always free we value any contribution people might wish to make towards the cost of care at Mercy Hospice Auckland. A Cost of Care donation helps us to care for people at their time of need and enables us to care for more people in the community.

Each year it costs millions of dollars to run our community and inpatient services at Mercy Hospice Auckland. To give you an idea, it costs around $600 a day for each patient staying at the hospice and $100 for each palliative care home visit.

Cost of Care donations contribute to:

  • The cost of care – nursing, medical and emotional care
  • Car running expenses for nurses
  • Training in new palliative care techniques
  • Bereavement counseling for families
