Trusts
Income from Charitable Trusts and Grants is extremely valuable to us as it provides nearly 1/3 of our fundraising income. Each year we apply to around 45 grants bodies and philanthropic trusts for financial support. All these funds are directed to specific projects, salaries and services and are accompanied by a stringent accountability process.
Some of the Trusts that have supported Mercy Hospice Auckland in 2009 include:
- ARA Charitable Trust for their recent and continued sponsorship of our hospice fundraising events
- Ted & Mollie Carr Endowment Fund
