Donate in Memory of a loved one
If you are interested in donating to the hospice in memory of someone special you can either donate online or by mailing a donation to Mercy Hospice Auckland, PO Box 47 693, Ponsonby, Auckland 1144. Please remember to include the name of your loved one. All donations are tax deductible so please include your name and address details.
Purchase a ceramic tile in memory of a loved one
With the assistance of Bob Steiner Ceramics, Mercy Hospice Auckland is developing a series of ceramic art works to be displayed in its courtyard. Each piece represents either the memory of particular person or the contribution made by individuals, families, companies and other organisations to the future service of Mercy Hospice Auckland.
The purchase of a ceramic piece provides both a tangible and lasting memory but also helps to ensure that our services can continue to be provided free of charge to the people of Auckland City. Prices range from $250 up to $4000.

Contribute to the Cost of Care
While our services are always free we value any contribution people might wish to make towards the cost of care at Mercy Hospice Auckland. A Cost of Care donation helps us to care for people at their time of need and enables us to care for more people in the community.
Each year it costs millions of dollars to run our community and inpatient services at Mercy Hospice Auckland. To give you an idea, it costs around $600 a day for each patient staying at the hospice and $100 for each palliative care home visit.
Cost of Care donations contribute to:
- The cost of care – nursing, medical and emotional care
- Car running expenses for nurses
- Training in new palliative care techniques
- Bereavement counseling for families
