Hospice Shops

Hospice Shop"turning second hand goods into first class care"

Mercy Hospice Auckland has four Hospice Shops throughout Auckland City, selling a range of quality secondhand goods including clothing, shoes, bedding, books, home ware, bric-a-brac and more.

Although we are a charity we manage our shops like the proper businesses they are. Each shop is run by an experienced retail manager, with the generous help of our many volunteers.

The real strength of our shops is our volunteers, if you would like to help us please click here.

Becoming a Shop Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers to take a regular shift in Hospice Shops. Can you help us?

Shop volunteers serve behind the counter as well as help behind-the-scenes with sorting and pricing donations. We normally ask you to work a three-hour shift (10am-1pm or 1-4pm) – as little or as often as you can.

Volunteering in a Hospice Shop is a great way to meet interesting people, develop new skills – and most importantly - know that what you are doing benefits others.

We look after and value our volunteers. Click here for more about our Volunteer programme.
