University/Goodfellow Unit Connection

The Visiting Speaker Program is a joint initiative between Mercy Hospice Auckland, the Goodfellow Unit and the School of Nursing, University of Auckland.

World leaders in the field of palliative care, spirituality, and loss and grief are brought to New Zealand for health professional educational programs, as well as public presentations.

Previous speakers have included Professor Bob Neimeyer, Dame Barbara Monroe, Professor Mary Vachon, Professor Harvey Chochinov and Jean Watson, Distinguished Professor of Nursing. The 2010 program also included faculty staff members from Cardiff University.

The symposia are usually held at the Tamaki Campus of The University of Auckland, unless otherwise stated. All costs are GST inclusive. Click any name to view further details and for registration information.

Postgraduate Education at The University of Auckland

Postgraduate studies in palliative care are offered at the University of Auckland. Several staff from Mercy Hospice Auckland are involved with delivering these courses.
