The
Heroic Gardens Festival 7th and 8th March 2009
We
are delighted to announce that we have been selected as the charity
recipient for the 2009 Heroic Gardens Festival.
The annual Heroic Gardens Festival has become a much enjoyed part of the Auckland summer calendar. As a mid-summer event, the two day festival celebrates the subtropical aspect of Auckland's gardens. There are 23 fabulous gardens across greater Auckland for the 2009 Festival.
All
the gardens are gay or lesbian owned and have been developed by the
owners who will be onsite for the weekend to share their gardening
experiences. There are a number of new gardens this year plus
traditional favourites which regular Festival people enjoy seeing
every year. A number of gardens have plants, art and sculpture for
sale and some are also providing food and beverages. Also look out
for some entertainment along the way.
The Festival is Saturday & Sunday 7th - 8th March 10am -
6pm daily
Tickets are only $30 (valid for both days)
This is a great day out for everyone. All tickets sales, raffle proceeds and donations from 3rd party sales will be distributed across the Hospices of Auckland.
